Siemens Industrial PLC Automation

This is a hands-on automation course using industry recognized Siemens PLCs and Step 7 controller software. Our goal is to provide students with the training needed to program and implement these devices into a manufacturing system and have the skills to maintain and troubleshoot as needed. While we will have several lectures on the concepts of the higher level monitoring and control software (SCADA/DCS), this course will focus on the direct application of the PLCs and support devices (sensors, terminal blocks, relays, switches and similar).

From the Siemens Industrial Automation website:
"The industry is right on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution. Automation is being followed by the digitalization of production. The goal: an increase of productivity, efficiency, speed, and quality, resulting in higher competitiveness for companies on their way to the future of industry."
