ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLY MECHANIC CERTIFICATE AND LAB  

16.0 Credits

Certificate in Aerospace Electrical Assembly provides advanced understanding of aviation electrical procedures. The certificate includes 11 modules (Electrical Orientation, Hand & Power Tools, Basic Drilling & Riveting, Wire Bundle Basics, Wire Installation Drawings, Wire Bundle Installation, Electrical Ground Jumpers, Electrical Ground Studs & Wire Grounding, Crimping Terminals & Splices, Assembly of Coaxial Connectors and Fiber Optics for Aerospace). This program provides an overview of the electrical knowledge and skills necessary to qualify for employment in the aerospace industry as an electrical assembler.

Special notes: Future employers may perform background checks and drug testing.

Students are required to achieve a minimum of 3.0 (80%) on all online quizzes and on the final face-to-face test in order to receive a Certificate of Completion and move on to their specialty program.

Prerequisite: Aerospace Manufacturing Core Online Certificate and Assessment must be completed to take this certificate.
